I'm going to be honest here, because I know this is between friends. Far too often I'm credited with being a genius because I've tried 42 things, and one has worked. I mean obviously the trick is that the other 41 don't make it WORSE... but ya know...

It's not like I never use prior knowledge, experience and even some inate intelligence... it's just that quite a few times it really is just this.
